The Trinidad and Tobago Solid Waste Management Company Limited (SWMCOL) is a state enterprise which was established on November 12, 1980.
With over forty (40) years experience in waste management and environmental consultancy services, SWMCOL continues to fulfill its original mandate of managing the collection, handling, treatment and disposal of solid waste in Trinidad and Tobago.
The Company provides:
Landfill management, design and operations
General waste collection
Liquid waste collection
Treatment and disposal of special wastes
Waste management services to airports and seaports
Management of wastewater treatment systems
Portable sanitation services (in Tobago)
Resource recovery for recycling and
Public education services
